For real estate broker and owner Lisa Landers, the Mercedes-Benz SUV she drives serves as a symbol to herself and her clients of her success. Over the past 15 years, Landers has relied on Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge for all her vehicle needs, and while safety and reliability are at the top of her list when choosing a car, the relationship she has with her sales consultant is one that can’t be rivaled.

Landers, real estate broker and owner of RE/MAX Professional, currently drives a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450, an SUV that seats five. “In real estate, there are occasions when I have to put clients in my car,” Landers says. “I think it makes an impression when I get into a Mercedes. I feel like if you dress for success and drive a car that speaks to success, people have more confidence in you.”

Landers points to safety as a top factor when choosing a vehicle. Unfortunately, she was in a car accident about a year ago and her previous Mercedes-Benz was totaled. When the insurance adjuster looked at her vehicle, he pointed out how well it held up. “He said if you would have been in brand XYZ you may not have survived this wreck, so I will never drive anything other than Mercedes. I walked away uninjured,” she says.

Incredibly, her longtime sales consultant, Lynn Whitty, found another vehicle that same day, even amidst supply issues. “I called Lynn, and she said let me see what I can do. I was in a car that afternoon. I don’t think that happens very often,” Landers says.

While Whitty does her absolute best to locate cars quickly and always manages to put Landers in loaner vehicles when she needs service, Landers also praises the Mercedes-Benz service team. “They’re always polite and helpful and get me in and out very quickly,” she says.

Landers also appreciates the amount of storage her vehicle offers. Being in real estate, she’s always carrying signs and flags, hammers and other tools, lunches for open houses and lots of bottled water. “That’s the unglamorous part of the job, but I can put a lot in that vehicle,” she says. Even when she drove a Mercedes-Benz car rather than the SUV, the backseat could lay flat so she always had sufficient storage.

She notes that the Mercedes-Benz app allows her to start the engine and cool her car while it stays locked, as well as the ability to lock her car from the app if she’s ever feeling stressed that she forgot to lock it. Also, friends and clients are always amazed at the size of the touch screen. “I love that I can move from the radio to the settings to the phone just by touching the screen,” she says.

“Next time I need a car I’ll get another Mercedes,” Landers says. “I’ll never leave Mercedes because of the way they treat me, and all the other reasons – their service, the safety and the user-friendliness.” For more information about the exceptional vehicles offered by Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge, visit online at mbobr.com, or stop by the showroom.
