What to know about the Materra development’s next expansion phase

Homes in the next expansion phase for the Materra traditional neighborhood development are now selling, with construction set to begin next month.

Enquist Development announced that phase two of the development near Woman’s Hospital will feature 90 additional residential lots with home sizes ranging from 1,670 square feet to more than 3,000 square feet. Home prices range from around $380,000 to more than $700,000. 

Level Homes and LaFosse Construction Company will be among the builders.

In addition to the new homes, Materra will see enhanced community amenities. The pavilion, community pool and playground are currently under construction, with completion expected later this year.

The third and final phase is expected to comprise 38 lots. Developer John Engquist acquired the 6 acres from Woman’s Hospital for $430,000 in October 2023. 

Engquist started work on the Materra project in 2019.

In December, the Planning Commission approved the proposed Heights at Materra apartment community comprising 295 units.
