Brad Barber shares H&E’s approach to executive and employee mental health in the September episode of Strictly Business

Mental health is linked to business outcomes, such as productivity, absenteeism, and employee retention, prompting a growing number of businesses to invest in mental health initiatives as a means of taking care of their employees and, in turn, enhancing overall performance and competitiveness.

H&E Rentals has taken a leadership role in shedding light on the mental health crisis taking place today, working with high-level organizations like the Huntsman Family Foundation, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the American Psychiatric Association, among others, to create a Mental Health and Hope training module with information and resources. The training is being offered not just to H&E Rentals’ own employees, but to other companies that might benefit from it as well.

The company also initiated an awareness campaign in the Capital Region, shedding light on drug addiction and the dangers of fentanyl.

In September, H&E Rentals executive Brad Barber joins Business Report‘s Strictly Business to share insights into why the company has taken up those initiatives, and some of the best practices his team has uncovered.

Barber has served as CEO and Director of the company since January 2021. He joined the company then known as Head & Engquist in 1998 as director of rental operations, rising up through the executive ranks to his current role.
