    Stormy skies: While the National Weather Service’s flash flood warning expired earlier this afternoon, forecasters are still warning that flooding caused by excessive rainfall may be possible through Saturday morning along and south of the Interstate 10 and Interstate 12 corridors. 

    Campaign promises: Donald Trump pledged to cut the corporate tax rate, slash regulations and audit the federal government in a speech given to Wall Street and corporate leaders in New York. The centerpiece of his address was a push to reduce the corporate tax rate to 15% for companies that manufacture products in the U.S. That move would be a significant reduction from the current 21% rate—a key policy win from Trump’s own 2017 tax law.     Primetime television: Baton Rouge native and model Brooks Nader is joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars, ABC announced Wednesday. Nader, the daughter of local Wells Fargo financial advisor Breaux Nader, was first featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in 2019 after participating in an open-call competition.
