To the polls: St. George’s emergency meeting Thursday resulted in a unanimous vote to set a Dec. 7 election allowing St. George to take control of a 2% sales tax. The meeting followed another emergency meeting held Monday where the St. George Transition District voted to request that the East Baton Rouge government transfer 2% of sales tax revenue. Rap album released: LSU standout women’s basketball player Flau’jae Johnson has released her debut album, Best of Both Worlds. The nine-track release includes a feature from Lil Wayne on “Came Out A Beast.” Johnson references her national championship win, teammate Angel Reese, and former LSU football star Joe Burrow in the song.
