    Still rising: U.S. crude oil inventories rose for a fourth consecutive week amid higher net imports, while refineries ramped up their capacity use. Commercial crude oil stocks excluding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve increased by 244,000 barrels, to 443.1 million barrels, in the week ended April 18 and were about 5% below the five-year average for the time of year, lower than analysts had expected.     Q1 earnings: Baton Rouge-based Amedisys reported that its net service revenue increased by $23.4 million in the first quarter of 2025 to $594.8 million, as compared to 2024. The company reported a net income per diluted share of $1.84, compared to last year’s $0.44. Read the full announcement.
