    Apply for funding: The Baton Rouge Alliance for Students is now accepting applications for its annual Community Building Grants. The grants fund programs and projects rooted in collaboration for organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of Baton Rouge young people and their families. Applications will close on Oct. 11. Interested applicants can apply at https://bralliance.org/grants. 

    Tagteam: Two Baton Rouge-based news organizations have formed an investigative news partnership with focused coverage on LSU and its athletics program. Tiger Rag, an independent publication that’s covered LSU sports for nearly 50 years, and the Louisiana Illuminator, a State Capitol-based newsroom, will team for in-depth reporting on the inner workings of the university and its sports endeavors.     Primetime television: Baton Rouge native and Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves is joining Season 16 of the Emmy Award-winning show Shark Tank as a guest shark. Graves hopes to leave his mark as the show’s first “Southern gentleman” and restaurateur. Read more from WAFB-TV
