Emergency notices: Entergy is upgrading its emergency notification system at the River Bend Station nuclear power plant in St. Francisville, phasing out traditional sirens in favor of direct phone alerts. The new system, called the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), is expected to go live as early as Wednesday.
