March dealt out a winning hand to area casinos


    Baton Rouge casinos experienced their best month of 2025 in March, posting a 22.5% increase in revenue over February, according to the latest report from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.

    Combined revenue for the Capital Region’s three casinos reached $27.7 million in March, up from $22.6 million in February and $21.4 million to start the year. Revenue was also up 9% compared to March 2024.

    The Belle of Baton Rouge reported the largest month-over-month increase, with a 66% rise in revenue. The casino generated $840,846 in March, compared to approximately $506,000 in February. It’s also an 11.8% increase from the $752,148 earned in March 2024.

    L’Auberge Baton Rouge pulled in $17 million in March—a 23.9% increase over February’s $13.7 million. The casino brought in $13.2 million in January. Year-over-year, its revenue increased 6.2%.

    Meanwhile, The Queen Baton Rouge experienced a 17.6% revenue jump. The casino brought in $9.7 million last month, up from $8.3 million in February and $7.6 million in January. That’s also a 14.8% increase from the $8.5 million it earned in March 2024.

    The Queen was also the most visited casino in Baton Rouge last month, attracting 116,738 guests. L’Auberge followed with 112,027 visitors.

    Statewide, Louisiana’s 15 riverboat casinos collectively drew over 1.5 million visitors. Combined revenue reached $180.8 million—a 20% increase over the $149.7 million in February and an 8.8% bump from the $166.2 million in March 2024.
