Ahead of what’s expected to be another above-average hurricane season, LWCC, Louisiana’s largest workers’ compensation insurer, on Thursday released its 2025 Hurricane Preparedness Resource Guide.
The guide, which is free to view or download, details all of the steps that businesses should take before, during and after a hurricane to safeguard their assets. This year’s Atlantic hurricane season starts Sunday.
Before a storm, LWCC says businesses should focus on the “Three Ps”: people, property and papers. During a storm, it’s all about staying physically safe, monitoring essential equipment and knowing what to do in the event of a power outage. And when it comes to after a storm, the guide has tips on checking for safety hazards, beginning the cleanup process and filing insurance claims.
