Enquist Development has announced the next phase of its 100-acre traditional neighborhood development, Materra, near Woman’s Hospital.
The development is set to start phase two with the construction of 90 additional residential lots. Pricing for the homes in the new phase is expected to begin in the $400,000s. Level Homes and LaFosse Construction Company are among the builders contributing to the development. Home construction will begin in January.
In addition to expanding housing options, Materra will have a new community pool and enhanced amenities. Pool and amenity construction will start this fall.
Amenities will include walking trails, green spaces and cabanas.
Developer Todd Waguespack expects the home construction to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
The third and final phase is expected to comprise 38 lots. Developer John Engquist acquired the 6 acres from Woman’s Hospital for the final phase of Materra for $430,000 in October 2023. Engquist started work on the project in 2019.
