Privately owned waste collection company Waste Pro recently bought 26 acres in north Baton Rouge.
The company purchased the property on New Rafe Mayer Road adjacent to the Ronaldson Field Landfill through Waste Pro of Louisiana Inc. from Stupp Bros Inc. for $2.5 million, according to a deal filed Tuesday with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office.
Waste Pro President and CEO Sean Jennings represented the buyer in the land transaction. Charles McAlpin Jr. represented the Missouri-based seller.
A Waste Pro spokesperson tells Daily Report that the acquisition allows for equipment storage and employee parking. The waste management company purchased the 87 acres that house the Ronaldson Field Landfill for $10.5 million in 2022. Waste Pro operates the landfill.
The company also bought 34 acres on North Robert Wilson Road near Interstate 10 and Tanger Outlets for $1.4 million last month.
Florida-based Waste Pro USA operates in 11 states. In Louisiana, it has operations in Baton Rouge, Covington, New Orleans and Houma. The company serves more than 2 million residential and 100,000 commercial customers from over 90 operating locations.
Waste Pro acquired two divisions of Port Allen-based WorkBox in 2024 and recently announced it had signed a service contract with LSU.
