She ran as a candidate for city court judge, district judge, and state Supreme Court judge. Most recently, she was the lead attorney in the litigation against the St. George incorporation. Advice from mayor: At a news conference Monday morning, Mayor Sharon Weston Broome encouraged Baton Rouge-area residents to take the storm seriously and begin prepping immediately. “The main threats from this tropical system include heavy rainfall, strong winds that could cause damage and the possibility of isolated tornadoes,” Broome says.
