    Changing jobs: Former LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor Dr. David Guzick, who resigned from his job last week after months of pressure from an LSU Board of Supervisors member, will fill a newly created role in the LSU System. The board voted unanimously Friday to name Guzick as the system’s chief research officer. The role comes with a salary of $475,000, a significant reduction from his chancellor’s salary of $900,000.     Guest speaker: Libbie Sonnier, executive director of the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children, will be the guest speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, April 28.     Cutting airfares: As passengers’ appetite for domestic trips falters in the face of economic uncertainty, major airlines are updating their yearly outlooks and moving to cut prices and excess capacity. Delta, Southwest, Alaska Airlines and American Airlines pulled their 2025 financial outlooks this month, saying the U.S. economy is too tough to predict right now.
