YMCA of the Capital Area announced Sean Elliott will serve as the organization’s new president and CEO, effective May 27.
Elliott was chosen by the local YMCA’s board of directors selection committee following an extensive national search, supported by YMCA of the USA. Elliott succeeds Christian Engle, who led the organization from 2017 until November of last year.
Elliot has a 25-year career with the Y, and has previously served as vice president of operations and capital projects at the Greater Philadelphia YMCA. Most recently he was president and CEO of the Greater Green Bay YMCA in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the YMCA CEO Institute and has been a YUSA trainer for more than 20 years in fiscal management and budgeting.
