How can you build your own dream team? Learn LSU coach Jay Johnson’s winning ways in November on Strictly Business

Jay Johnson Head Coach, LSU Baseball (Sierra Beaulieu)

During LSU Coach Jay Johnson’s collegiate coaching career, he has developed 30 major leaguers. Nine LSU players were chosen in the 2024 MLB Draft—including eight pitchers, tying a record for most pitchers drafted in a single season.

So he knows a thing or two about building a dream team.

He’ll share his winning ways and how they’re relevant to business on the November episode of Strictly Business.

He’ll talk about how to quickly assess strengths and weaknesses and put the right pieces in place when you inherit a team. The coach will also share key traits you look for in a team member that signal they’ll be successful in a competitive environment, and how to motivate high performers.

Johnson has a proven track record of postseason success, explosive lineups and highly-ranked recruiting classes that make him one of the best college baseball coaches in the nation. At the helm of one of the nation’s most storied college baseball programs for the past three seasons, Johnson has enhanced LSU’s elite legacy by guiding the Tigers to the 2023 College World Series title, marking the seventh National Championship in school history.

In the 2024 season, he directed LSU to a berth in the championship game of the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, and the LSU pitching staff led the nation in strikeouts with 733.
