News Alert: Section of I-10 to close at noon today

Interstate-10 will be closed between Siegen Lane and Highland Road in both directions starting at noon today. Traffic will be diverted onto Airline Highway. Entergy crews will be repairing a main transmission line that crosses the interstate and provides power to three substations, state police say. Troopers will be closing the interstate for one-hour intervals throughout the afternoon.

Other road closures include:

-- La. 37 at the Comite River.

-- La. 1 along False River.

-- La. 44 from the Sunshine Bridge to Covent.

-- La. 415 at La. 76.

U.S. 190 at the old Mississippi River Bridge is now open.
