ACCOUNTING

Lisa Horzelski has been promoted to IT audit manager in the accounting and audit services division of LaPorte Sehrt Romig Hand. Horzelski previously served as IT audit supervisor.

Dira Lay has been promoted to senior auditor in the accounting and audit services division of LaPorte Sehrt Romig Hand. Lay previously served as a staff auditor.

Terrell Martin has been promoted to tax manager in the tax consulting services division of LaPorte Sehrt Romig Hand. Martin previously served as tax supervisor.

EDUCATION

Monty E. Sullivan has been named executive vice president of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. Sullivan previously served as vice chancellor for academic services and research for the Virginia Community College System. He is responsible for providing leadership in academic and student affairs, workforce development and training, and oversight and direction of federal funds.

HEALTH CARE

Kim Armstead has been promoted to accessioning supervisor at Lane Regional Medical Center. Armstead, who has 12 years’ experience and is a certified phlebotomist, previously served as a laboratory assistant. She is responsible for the daily operations for phlebotomy and laboratory assistants, monitoring competency skills, ensuring completion of weekly inventory, overseeing the referral process for outsourced lab work and maintaining patient satisfaction, staffing and physician relations.

Dawn Lenox has been promoted to assistant vice president/compliance officer for North Oaks Health System. Lenox, who has 15 years’ health-care experience, will oversee daily operations of its legal compliance program. She has served as compliance coordinator since April 2004.

Dr. Robert Wood has joined Baton Rouge Family Medical Center. Wood previously served as a faculty physician for Baton Rouge General’s Family Medicine Residency Program and practiced at the Occupational Medicine Clinic.

TECHNOLOGY

Jim Driesse has been promoted to vice president of sales for IBM in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Driesse previously served as vice president for IBM’s East Region. He will continue to serve as its senior state executive for Louisiana and location executive for Baton Rouge.
