Why do you do what you do?

I love this business, the opportunity to navigate the markets but most importantly helping clients identify their financial goals and dreams.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?

Successfully achieving the Managing Director title at JPMorgan.

What was your first job?

Mowing lawns; however, I began my professional career as a commercial lender for Wachovia Bank.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

“It is time to grow up”! (My high school coach), “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (The Good Book).

Who do you most admire in the local business community and why?

John Noland. He has done so much to better our community.

If you could have any job other than your own, what would it be?

Political radio talk show host or college instructor.

What is the greatest personal or professional obstacle you've overcome?

Failure in my first professional job.

If you started over, what would you do differently?

I would have reversed my career pattern to start out in financial planning rather than banking.

Follow the golden rule.

Rising Tide by John M. Barry and Wherever You Go, There You Are, Jon Kabat Zinn.

If you could have dinner with any three living people, who would they be? (Authors? Leaders?)

Henry Kissinger, Paul Volcker, Jill Connor Browne.

George Clooney.

What do you do to unwind?

Spend time with my children, jog the LSU lakes, and work in our yard.

What is the most expensive purchase you've made for yourself?

Premium Ice Cream!

What is your favorite weekend activity?

Sunday dinner with family or any LSU Tiger sporting event!

Working hard for the Money!

What's your favorite spot in Baton Rouge?

Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. Otherwise, Tsunami’s Restaurant.

I enjoy my Community Coffee with French Vanilla creamer.

Dr. Zhivago.

What is something that you can't live without?

My wife and family, that Community Coffee mentioned above and 12 year (or better) blended scotch.

The effectiveness of our public school system.

That we learn to dream big as a community.

What is your greatest fear for Baton Rouge?

That we allow our present, to limit our future.
