Why do you do what you do?

It allows me to truly help others. I find that issues dealing with money or wealth can be stressful, confusing and frustrating for some. Being afforded the opportunity to build a trusting relationship and provide valuable solutions to clients is the most rewarding and fulfilling thing I could do with my time.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?

Building a business from the ground up that impacts so many lives.

What was your first job?

I was a bag boy at Earlys’ Food Store in Scott, La.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

If you work hard, play hard, try hard, do your best, and never give up, you can become anything you wish to be.

Who do you most admire in the local business community and why?

Bob Rackley – for the mentorship he provided during the crucial years of my career.

If you could have any job other than your own, what would it be?

I would travel the world speaking, changing one life at a time if need be, providing hope and vision to those who don’t have any.

What is the greatest personal or professional obstacle you've overcome?

First, believing that I could go to college and second, finding a way to go.

If you started over, what would you do differently?

From the beginning, I would seek the advice of those who are already successful in areas I aspire to be successful in.

What is your prescription for life?

Give yourself permission to fail so that you can give yourself the freedom to try. Everything in life that you need is already here.

What book are you currently reading?

The World is Flat

If you could have dinner with any three living people, who would they be? (Authors? Leaders?)

General Norman Schwarzkopf, Margaret Thatcher, Jim Rohn (the author/speaker),

Who would play you in a movie?

Mel Gibson

What do you do to unwind?

Hang out with my daughters, or operate heavy equipment.

What is the most expensive purchase you've made for yourself?

F250 King Ranch.

What is your favorite weekend activity?

Going to the races with my daughters, Bar-B-Qing, and hanging out with friends.

What's your favorite spot in Baton Rouge?

Tsunami, overlooking the river.

How do you take your coffee/tea?

I don’t.

What is your favorite movie? TV show? Band?

Tombstone, Criminal Minds, Elton John

What is your favorite gadget?

iPhone

What is something that you can't live without?

The loving support from my family.

If you could change one thing about Baton Rouge, what would it be?

Crime rate

What is your greatest hope for Baton Rouge?

We seize the opportunity before us to improve the quality of life here and become a city with an abundance of businesses located here providing careers and futures for the talented people in our area. A place where the quality of life is refreshingly high, crime is low and we begin to attract some the worlds’ most talented people.

What is your greatest fear for Baton Rouge?

My fear would be that we don’t ban together as a community and attack the quality of life issues right before our eyes: education, crime, ethics.
