News alert: Waguespack to join Jones Walker law firm
Gov. Bobby Jindal's former chief of staff, Stephen Waguespack, who resigned his post in early October to pursue private-sector work, is joining the Jones Walker law firm, sources tell Daily Report. Jones Walker is expected to formally announce the move later today. Waguespack, a lawyer by profession, had worked with Jindal since his first gubernatorial campaign in 2007 and was Jindal's chief of staff for about a year when he resigned last month. Sources say he will join Jones Walker as special council and director of the firm's multistate governmental relations practice. Headquartered in New Orleans, Jones Walker also has offices in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, as well as in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, New York, Texas and Washington, D.C.
