Cloud computing publication spotlights Venyu

Baton Rouge-based Venyu has been named a 2012 Cloud Computing Excellence Award winner by Cloud Computing Magazine. The publisher recognized the company for RestartIT, a remote backup and disaster-recovery solution. "At Venyu, we focus on recovery—or how quickly business data can be restored in the event of an outage," says Venyu CEO Scott Thompson. The Cloud Computing Excellence Awards recognize companies "that have most effectively leveraged cloud computing in their efforts to bring new, differentiated offerings to market," the publication says. Winners are published in the October 2012 issue of Cloud Computing Magazine.
