Final schedule of BREW events announced; registration open

The full lineup of events for Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week has been finalized and registration is now open. The week of Nov. 12-16 will feature a wide variety of events at locales throughout Baton Rouge, including a high-stakes pitch competition, educational lunches, panel discussions, networking opportunities, new product demonstrations, and opportunities for angel investors to meet local entrepreneurs. The BREW 2012 Kickoff event will take place at LSU's Business Complex Auditorium on Monday, Nov. 12, at 5:30 p.m. A highlight of the week's events will be a pitch competition on Thursday, Nov. 15, at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel, in which five entrepreneurs will try to sway five local business owners to invest in them. A total of $125,000 is potentially up for grabs. The Shark Tank–style event will feature a presentation by entrepreneur Jason Lucash, a past winner of the popular TV show on which it's based. Other events during the week include a Women Business Leaders breakfast, a BREW-edition "food truck wroundup," a luncheon with Sony executive Bruno Matzdorf and more.
