One of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World, Jay Adelson—best known for founding and running companies such as Digg Inc. and SimpleGeo Inc.—will serve as the keynote speaker of the Louisiana Technology and Innovation Breakfast on Oct. 10. The breakfast, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, will kick off the Louisiana Business Symposium, which will also feature Business Report's Top 100 Luncheon, likewise to be held at the Crowne Plaza on Oct. 10. As in years past, economist Loren Scott will unveil his annual economic forecast for Louisiana and its major cities during the luncheon. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for the Innovation Breakfast, with the program to run from 8 to 9:15 a.m. Tickets are $20. The luncheon will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with doors to open at 11:15 a.m. Tickets for the luncheon are $40.
