CPEX Smart Growth Summit rescheduled for November

CPEX Smart Growth Summit rescheduled for November

The CPEX Smart Growth Summit that was canceled earlier this week due to Isaac has been rescheduled in its entirety for Nov. 26-28, which is the Monday through Wednesday following Thanksgiving. Given the dozens of speakers and panelists lined up for the three-day conference, which this year focuses on the economic benefits of comprehensive land-use and planning, rescheduling was, potentially, a challenge. But CPEX Executive Director Elizabeth "Boo" Thomas says, "Amazingly, all but two of our 100 panelists have agreed to come in November," adding, "It was so difficult, but we are delighted they are all so willing to give of their time again." She notes that there are no planned changes to the schedule of events. For more details on the summit's speakers and events, click here. —Stephanie Riegel
