EBR schools to remain closed Thursday

A spokesman for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System has confirmed public schools will remain closed on Thursday. The parish’s Catholic schools have previously announced they would follow the public schools' closure plans. Earlier today, LSU announced the Baton Rouge campus would remain closed on Thursday, and Southern University has also announced its campus will remain shuttered. All schools were closed Tuesday and today due to Hurricane Isaac. Baton Rouge Community College, meanwhile, says its classes are canceled through the rest of the week.
