'225 Weekender': Forum 35 holds benefit event for BR Walls

On Friday evening, Forum 35's Cultural Diversity Initiative is hosting its second annual Mixture, a unique event at the Lyceum Dean Ballroom benefiting the BR Walls project. The evening features an avant-garde design competition, a live painting by local artist TJ Black, a fashion show, break-dancers and the sounds of DJ OttO. Proceeds from the event help fund the BR Walls project, which aims to cover downtown's blank buildings with paintings and murals. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $30 for VIP, which includes runway seating and a reserved spot in the catered lounge section. The fun begins at 8 p.m. and runs through midnight.
