Jindal to address Republican National Convention
Though he was not initially included on the list of keynote speakers, Gov. Bobby Jindal will have a speaking role at the upcoming Republican National Convention after all. However, as The Times-Picayune reports, it won't be a top-tier role. Jindal, who was passed over on the vice presidential nomination when presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romney chose Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, is one of six convention speakers announced today, who are described as "headliners" by the Republican National Committee. On Wednesday, convention planners announced that the keynote address will be delivered by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. The Republican convention will be held in Tampa, Fla., Aug. 27-30. No schedule has yet been announced for when Jindal and the other speakers announced today will deliver their addresses.
