Andrews: FDIC Announces Investor Workshops

The pace of bank failures has decreased, but there are still plenty of assets from failed institutions to handle. In an effort to expand the pool of investors for these assets, the FDIC has scheduled two Outreach Workshops within driving distance (or short flights) from our area. According to an FDIC press release, "The half-day workshops will cover how structured transactions are created and operated, the pre-qualification process, details about the Small Investor Program and Investor Match Program, how to participate in cash loan sales and ORE sales, and a discussion about the transactional documents necessary to bid." One workshop is scheduled in Nashville on Tuesday, Aug. 7, and another in Dallas on Aug. 9. For more information, click here.
