Amid $1M homes, Metairie neighbors sue over enormous house being built

(From The Times-Picayune) In Metairie Club Gardens, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Louisiana, the homeowners association is suing a property owner over an enormous house that it says is being built in violation of zoning laws. The dispute has unfolded on Northline Drive, an oak-canopied lane flanked by miniature mansions ranging in value from about a half-million dollars to more than $5 million. The average is $1.2 million, according to the Jefferson Parish assessor's office.
