Cook: O'Reilly Auto Parts buys Ascension site for new store

A new O'Reilly Auto Parts store is planned at the corner of Swamp Road and Airline Highway in Ascension Parish, says Kent Walker of Donnie Jarreau Real Estate, who represented LRH Investment Properties in its recent purchase of the site. According to Walker, LRH purchased the 33,000-square-foot site from Kazi Family LLC for $550,000 on July 2. The seller was represented by two agents from Beau Box Commercial Real Estate, Jordan Johnson and Burden Edmonds. The sale price calculates to about $16.67 per square foot. Kazi Family LLC purchased the property in 2006 for $650,000. O'Reilly Auto Parts will construct a 6,300-square-foot retail building on the site later this year.
