'225 Dine': Bon Repas wrap truck rolls into B.R.

After making a big splash in its home city of Lafayette, the Bon Repas Wrap Truck is now rolling in Baton Rouge's more competitive food truck scene. This truck's focus is on fresh wraps, paninis and sandwiches, with a menu that changes weekly. Begun by Chris Wadsworth, formerly of Nottoway Plantation and now in the kitchen at Restaurant IPO, the reins of Bon Repas have been turned over to Wadsworth's wife, Sommer, and a small team of talented culinary school graduates. Options range from a mouthwatering buffalo chicken-mozzarella pizza wrap to sautéed veggie wraps. For those seeking to satisfy their sweet tooth, items like sweet potato bread pudding and fried Twinkies never leave the menu. Baton Rouge has already embraced the new truck, though it has been out on the streets for just a week. —Rachael Upton Read the rest of this week's 225 Dine e-newsletter here.
