Flick Pick

Prometheus was smart, but the trickster Greek Titan sure got the short end of the stick. Humanity got fire while he was chained to a rock with an eagle noshing on his liver every day. Apparently Zeus forgives but never forgets. Could the mythological title of Ridley Scott's return to science fiction, Prometheus, be a hint to the film's super-secretive plot?
What we do know is that Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Michael Fassbender are among a group of explorer-scientists who uncover the beginnings of the greatest threat Earth has ever known while they are trapped on a distant planet.
Whether or not Prometheus dovetails into the narrative of Scott's landmark 1979 thriller Alien, as rumored, it would seem the classic tagline for that film still applies: “In space no one can hear you scream.” Prometheus ignites June 8.

Bad Guys, Good Eats! Pop-Up Dinner at Restaurant IPO
Chef and 225 contributor Jay D. Ducote and Chef Chris Wadsworth hosted the Bad Guys, Good Eats! dinner at Restaurant IPO Wednesday night. The dinner was themed around famous movie villains, pairing cocktails and ales with plates of food resembling famous baddies like The Joker, Lord Voldemort, Hannibal Lector, and many others. The highlights of the night were the three middle courses—a black bean soup laced with blood sausage to signify Lord Voldemort, a brace of coneys on black eyed peas resembling Sauron, and lamb medallions atop a fava bean puree to pay homage to the famous favorite of Hannibal Lector.
