ReStore reopens with Steve Thomas
A familiar face in home improvement is coming to Baton Rouge: Steve Thomas, former host of PBS’s popular show, This Old House. The Emmy award winner will visit the Capital City on Saturday to mark the post-renovation opening of ReStore, a building supply outlet whose profits benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge. Be there for the ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m., and stay to shop! ReStore, located at the corner of Airline Highway and Plank Road, is stocked with quality building materials that have been donated by contractors, demolition crews and individuals. Shoppers can find great bargains there, while simultaneously supporting Habitat and keeping unnecessary waste out of landfills. Who knew that your weekend fix-up projects could do so much good?
