Watson hooks a drive into Baton Rouge fan's head
Masters champion Bubba Watson has struck one of his Baton Rouge fans in the back of the head with a hooked drive. Watson's tee shot on the second hole during today's second round of the Zurich Classic in New Orleans drew blood from the back of Robert "Radd" Leonard's head. Leonard, who was reached quickly by medics, says he's fine, adding that he thought it was pretty incredible to be hit by the very player he attended the tournament to see. The 52-year-old owner of Rad Cycles on Nicholson Drive says he was also glad to be able to keep Watson's shot in the fairway, which is where the ball landed after plunking him in the head. Watson walked over to Leonard, shook his hand and gave him a signed golf glove. "I saw it coming and it looked like it was hooking right at me. I wanted to see that big hook, you know, and I got to see it. I turned and ducked, and it still hit me," Leonard says. "It gave him a good bounce, anyway." Leonard declined to go to first aid and remained on the course with his bloodstained shirt and a white wrap around his head. Watson won the 2012 Masters Tournament earlier this month with a stunning 40-yard hook shot out of the woods on the second hole of a sudden death playoff that landed within 15 feet of the hole.
