State Rep. Carl Crane, a Republican from Baton Rouge, says he is considering a run for the District 6 seat on the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. Incumbent Polly Broussard of Gonzales announced last week she would not seek re-election. “I am thinking seriously about it,” says Crane, the longtime chair of the House Education Committee who is term-limited.
